I go here somehwat regularly with a couple of my friends. Last couple times I've been here however has been a nightmare. The owner and most of his staff do their best to accommodate however one bartender (I believe her name is Seneca) is entitled and unbelievable. My first experience with this bartender she refused to order me drinks because of some confusion with my wife (she's a server there) and something about not getting tipped. I didn't find out what was going on until later. I had given my wife my card so she could just pay for our food and drinks when she was off (I was there to pick her up when she got off) and I guess she just rung it up herself. She was fairly new still. Later on another occasion I was waiting for one of my friends to get off work and join me while wife was working. There was an event going on. Seneca continued to ignore me through our the night. Only ordering me a drink when she absolutely couldn't pretend not to notice me waiting. I had no clue what was going on. It wasn't until a little later that I found out she told my wife I was apparently trying to "intimidate" her. I had no clue at this time who she was. She was just a bartender to me. I still don't know what her issue with me is. Instead of dealing with drama I chose to go to the outside bar and remove myself from the situation. Instead of leaving it at that she came outside and began being very sarcastic to me and started arguing with me. After I bit I refused to even speak to her anymore. I ended up going home after having my entire night ruined. The next couple times I came in to buy off sale (I've avoided going back to drink because of her) everything seemed calmed. Until this morning. I baught some drinks for me and a friend with came to around 80 something. I left a 10 tip (for off sale btw) as a ty for taking the time to let me grab something on a Sunday. Come to find my card for over charged causing my balance to drawn into the negative. She lied when entering the tip amount and added an extra 16 to the 10 I had already approved. I debated posting this but it makes me wonder if she's this entitled that she will willing steal extra tip money from a customer over her own perceived drama that only exists in her head, then who else has she done this to. How many customers has she stolen from because she felt she was owed more. Stage stop is great, but if Seneca is your bartender, watch your bank cards. I won't be returning as a customer as long as she is still employed there. Edit : I would also like to add that the owners did fix this right away which I greatly appreciate. In no way is this review a reflection on the establishment, but is a warning on a specific person's professional character and morals. If you can't handle the stress of the environment of bartending, don't be a bartender. And don't steal. Period.

Hungry? Check out the Stage Stop Saloon and Grill in Mandan. Great food and HUGE portions. The hotdog is 22" and called the Brutus. My husband, who has a very large appetite, wasn't able to finish it in one sitting.

Just watched Joel Hansen from YouTube do the 2 foot hot dog challenge. It looks delicious. I think it looks more like a sausage than a hot dog. Maybe you should name it the Saudog Challenge Sau (sausage) of course dog for hot dog. I am in RVA to far for me to travel but if I could I would.

Sara was our server. She was very friendly and attentive. Walleye fingers were delicious and a good portion of onion rings. But OMG look at the size of that wiener! We didn’t have it but the table next us did woozier almost 2 feet long. Love the new atmosphere.
